Also Wifi, is subject to repairs by our local providers, therefore we do not guarantee Wifi will be completely continuous. It is DSL so it does occasion have interruptions in service. The Lodge at River Valley is situated along 2 miles of the Musconetcong River in Asbury, New Jersey - an hour from downtown Manhattan. Outside on the patio, guests can watch the friends hook trout in the home pool while sitting in front of the large, Argentinean style fire place. Surrounding the house is a 240 acre working farm. Fly fishing guides, equipment, and local tour guides are available. We also host shooting, golf, and farm to table events. See more information below! The space Asbury, NJ is a lovely small town in New Jersey. Within minutes of the lodge are some fantastic restaurants and shopping, as well as numerous country/ farm tours and nature walks. The lodge itself is located on an 100% organic and fully functioning cattle farm. We often host catered farm to table dinners at the Lodge (although not included in the overnight price!). Fishing River Valley has private access to just under two miles of prime Musconetcong River, also known as the "Muskie". There are nine defined pools along our stretch. Stream side paths lead an angler from pool to pool, or you can choose to wade down the river and fish the plentiful pocket water and riffles that often hold trout. Members and their guests can expect to routinely catch rainbow, brown, and brook trout - one of the few fisheries where these three species live alongside one another. We also stock the occasional tiger trout - just to keep it interesting! In the colder months, streamers and nymphing are the game. Once the temperature starts to rise, the hatches here are unlike anywhere else in New Jersey. Sulphurs, caddis, and variant mayfly hatches will keep a dry fly angler shaking at the vice in our fly tying room! Our nine private fishing pools thrive in part to our support of local resource groups. These groups enhance the fishery, the river itself, and the surrounding land upon which a healthy fishery thrives. Our members find this to be one of the Lodge’s greatest assets. We also conduct several stocking supplements each season and all fishing is fly only and 100% catch and release. Guest access The member's locker room will be locked, but all other parts are open for guest use! Welcome to our lovingly restored historic home. This was our weekend home before we moved out of New York City full time. We are passionate about natural health and wellness and strive to create an environment that is free from harmful toxins. We proudly use therapeutic grade essential oils, diffusers and plant-based products from Young Living throughout the house and are excited to give our guests a relaxing and memorable experience. We are located in the town of Sergeantsville just a few doors down from the Sergeantsville Inn and General Store and a 15-minute drive to New Hope/Lambertville. The lovingly restored farmhouse has wide pine floors and a walk-in fireplace with a pellet stove. A keeping room, parlour room, kitchen and full bath round out the first floor. Because this is a historic home, with original wood floors and pie stairs, we ask that guests remove their shoes upon entering the house. The pie stairs to the second floor (bedrooms) are best navigated in bare feet or indoor slippers (the painted stairs can be slippery in socks). There is no handrail (hasn't been one for 200 years!) and you must be careful to walk on the inside of the stairs against the wall. If you have young children, or have difficulty with balance or climbing stairs, our home is probably not for you. Upstairs are two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with a full bed) and a bathroom. You will have access to all parts of the home except the attic and the basement (no reason you'd need access to those areas) Otherwise the entire property is yours. My wife and I are available at any time by phone, text or email during your stay. We live 15 minutes away from the property.

Wildlife, including bald eagles, deer and geese are sure to visit in the evening. In the warmer months you can see the boaters and tubers enjoying the day, while in the cooler months, witness the fall colors and the unique image of a snowy river. If you prefer a more active stay you can take the short walk into town to check out the shops and restaurants but be sure that you tell the shop owners that you are visitors to Milford and that you are staying at the VRBO The Milford House on Spring Garden Street. You can walk or ride the Delaware Canal footpath and local roadways and explore the many State and County parks in the area. There are railroad tracks that run up the river and in front of our home. These tracks are inactive and create a great walking path north and south along the river. Whether you want to relax or explore The Milford House is the ideal place to have your vacation or a weekend getaway. The Milford House was completely renovated in 2017/2018 by the owners, Don & Kathy. Old world charm and lots of attention to detail including exposed beams, bead-board ceilings with fans both inside and outside, beautiful landscaping, random width wood floors, double french doors, floor to ceiling windows, and a warm, gas fireplace stove make this house a unique experience for all our guests in all seasons. We provide all sheets, towels, and wash cloths to make your stay as leisurely and relaxing as possible. However, there is a small laundry charge in the fee schedule. Our grandchildren have negotiated the steep hill several times but it is challenging. There is a boat launch area right across the river on the PA side, just a few minutes away. But there are also numerous areas with river access on both the NJ and PA sides very close by. There are railroad tracks that run up the river and in front of our home. These tracks are inactive and create a great walking path north and south along the river.
